What are QBO, OFX and QFX files?

They're all flavors of the same thing — the Open Financial Exchange format banks and accounting software use to pass transactions around. QBO is QuickBooks' Web Connect variant, QFX is Quicken's, OFX is the vanilla standard. Great for machines, unreadable for humans — which is why you sometimes need them back as a spreadsheet.

When would I convert QBO back to CSV?
